Overview US dollar weakness early on saw the Euro squeeze to a new record high at $1.6020 while the Australian dollar briefly managed to scale levels not seen since the early 1980’s at $0.9540. This helped Nymex May Crude Oil set a new record $119.90 per barrel and Gasoline $3.0465 per gallon. LME 3-month Tin also set a new high at $24,500 per tonne. These trends peaked mid-week so that commodities ended lower and the US dollar stronger over the last five days. More dramatically money market
