Scalia told CBS News' "60 Minutes" that he may be conservative, but he is not biased on issues that come before the court. "I mean, I confess to being a social conservative, but it does not affect my views on cases," Scalia said in excerpts released Thursday.

Wow, looks like the North Carolina GOP is going to run their anti-Obama ad after all, the one John McCain told them not to run in a very stern and disapproving e-mail. What a tremendous surprise boy am I ever shocked. There's been a bunch of speculation as to what the NC GOP is "really" up to in wanting to run the ad, like, do they really want to help HRC, or is the whole shitbang really about the governor's race, and so on. Harvard's Institute of Politics had some encouraging news for Sen. Obama today: young voters nationwide overwhelmingly prefer Sen. Obama to Hillary Clinton. The institute found 70 percent of Democrats ages 18 to 24 favor Obama, compared to just 30 percent for Clinton. Youth vote has been central to determining] the next nominee.
